The Old Blue Cross Centre, In Walton, Felixstowe. The now redundant and derelict building is due for demolition with plans being drawn up for 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes which would be available under the Governments Help to Buy Scheme.
Walton is a little village with many Great features include butchers, bakeries, Fish and Chips, hair salons plus a selection of great Pubs and historic buildings.
A mile down the road is the nature reserve at Trimley Marshes. Trimley marshes has beautiful vigorous walks with big skies making it the perfect place to bird watch and to be one with nature. Trimley Train Station is also in the local area ¾ of a mile (5min) walk. The trains run every hour to Ipswich and run in sync with Ipswich-London Liverpool Street. If you don’t feel like taking the train, the A12/A14 is also in close proximity.
If you are wanting to venture off outside Walton, Felixstowe Pier is an 8min drive or a 30min walk down the road. After a multi-million pound redevelopment, Felixstowe now boasts Great Britain’s newest pier. The project has taken a huge amount of time and planning over several years, but it is finally complete.
